Our sales representative Blake arrived to perform the thorough inspection and with a closer examination he discovered areas along the roof that were sunken in indicating rotting decking. There were areas where shingles had begun to separate and hang lower than where they were initially placed. Blake formulated a plan of action and explained to Mrs. Shakedra that the main part of the home and the porch would need to be fully replaced. They removed all shingles on the main part of the home and the covered porch in the back. Here the decking was closely inspected. Each piece affected by water was removed and replaced with new OSB. The porch however, had to have all new decking. The leak had spread and completely covered the entire area. After the decking situation was sorted out, new Velora underlayment was applied, and it was time to begin installing the highly rated IKO shingles.
