Mrs. Susan, a Sylvester resident, reached out with concerns about her carport, noticing a leak where it meets her home’s roof. She mentioned that her old gravel roof had likely needed replacement for years. Our salesman visited to provide a free estimate and assess the damage to the flat roof. Tired of the persistent leak, Mrs. Susan decided it was time to replace it entirely. We promptly added her to the production schedule and got to work.
Our crew arrived and removed all the gravel, exposing the roofing deck. This revealed several areas of rotting wood that required new OSB. Once we replaced the damaged decking, we applied a new base for added protection. Instead of reinstalling a gravel roof, Mrs. Susan chose a modified bitumen roof, complete with new eave drip and flashing. This upgrade significantly improved her home, and she is now relieved to be free of the troublesome leak.
